My academic profile so far

After a lot of thought and reflection, being able to write about my academic profile so far is something difficult because there are areas that I did well. On the other hand, there others that need improvement.

First of all, it is important for me to recognize that I am the kind of person that it is really responsible about study and I try to take seriously my activities, assignments and tasks. I consider myself the kind of person that never takes anything personal if there are critics about my work or performance because I think that I will help me in my teaching development.

The areas that I think I did well are using teaching techniques and methods. When, I based my teaching in that methods helped me a lot in terms of organization. For me was easy to decide about the kind of activities were more suitable for the students in terms of age, level, background and so on.  I also find easy select and adapt teaching materials that were right for my students. Using those tools in my learning environment helped me to make better decisions in my personal work. 

 On the other hand, there are certain things that I need to work on.  I still have some problems in the correct use of the target language. For example, I have some issues with grammar and the lexical system. I am aware that students expect that teachers of the English language can explain a new word, grammar concepts that include when and how it is used. So it is vital for me to have time to dedicate and practice my use of English.

 I believe that it is important to continue working with the areas I did well and reflect them in my teaching and work in those specific problems of my grammar in order to be an effective teacher.
